Q.How long is a session?
A. A session will normally take 1hr 30mins.
Q. What can I expect to happen in a session?
A. Please refer to the energy session page for a more in depth look at what to expect. Briefly speaking, in the session I could use techniques such as massage, holding points for a few minutes, or work with the bio field. All will be communicated and there should be no discomfort on the clients behalf.
Q. Do I need to remove my clothes?
A. No, the sessions are done fully clothed. Comfortable active wear and socks are recommended.
Q. Can I claim a rebate with my Health Insurance?
A. Unfortunately not. It is a new modality and is not recognised as yet by the Australian Health Insurance Companies.
Q. Do I need to have any knowledge of how energy works for it to be beneficial?
A. No, there is nothing the client needs to do in order for me to be able to work with their energies. The energies of the body will be tested and we receive our information that way. An open mind definitely assists in the process.
Q. Is Eden Energy Medicine like Reiki?
A. Eden Energy Medicine is different in that we use nine different energy systems. Unlike Reiki we test the energy running through different muscles, organs or acupressure points to direct us in where the energies are blocked or lacking.
Q. Is there any science behind the energy systems?
A. Life was considered to be a bio-electrical and vibrational energy phenomenon and so health revolved around balancing energy through various means. Life existed because of life force and energy running through and animating the body, ensuring we can move, breathe, digest food, think and even feel. Over 5,000 years ago ancient cultures knew of the existence of these energy channels. They were called ‘sen’ in Thailand, ‘nadis’ in India, ‘meridians’, ‘channels’ or ‘vessels’ in China and Japan, and ‘channels’ in Tibet. Our bodies are electromagnetic in nature and science has measured these frequencies with advanced machines, like EKG’s and MRI scanning, for many years. Numerous studies demonstrate these energy pathways and points conduct electricity even when needles aren’t used. Recently scientists at Seoul National University confirmed the existence of meridians, which they refer to as the “primo-vascular system.”
Previously, scientists used a combination of imaging techniques and CT scans to observe concentrated points of microvascular structures that clearly correspond to the map of acupuncture points created by Chinese energy practitioners in ancient times. In a study published in the Journal of Electron Spectroscopy and Related Phenomena, researchers used contrast CT imaging with radiation on both non-acupuncture points and acupuncture points. The CT scans revealed clear distinctions between the non-acupuncture point and acupuncture point anatomical structures.
